:: Student Solo Honors Recitals ::
Students who would like to be considered to play on one of the daily afternoon Honors Recitals, audition by sending a VHS video tape or DVD of a performance of a well-polished, memorized piece (with accompaniment if applicable). Print the solo recital application form below and make sure you mail all audition materials so that we have received everything by April 10, 2008. No late applications are accepted.
Approximately 16 students are chosen to perform in solo recitals during each session. These students are chosen by a committee of nationwide committee of teachers. Video audition tapes must be received by April 10 (DVD or videotape, VHS format, US playback system only). Due to the large number of students auditioning to perform on these solo recitals, late applications are not accepted. Audiocassettes are not accepted. For those selected to play, a staff accompanist is provided for a rehearsal and the recital performance.

Following the same solo application process, pianists may audition to perform the following pieces with a string ensemble accompaniment on the student solo recitals.

- Sonatina Op. 36, no. 3 – Clementi
