The LK String Quartet has been playing together since then and have appeared in performances internationally including at the 2003 Kennedy Center Honors and a “Live from Lincoln Center” performance; both of these were national television broadcasts.

2007-2008 appearances of the LK String Quartet include performances at the Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Neue Galerie, and the Colony Club in New York City, as well as multiple performances in Princeton, NJ, Virginia Beach, VA, East Hampton, NY, Sarasota, FL, and Beaver Creek, CO.  In June 2008, the LK String Quartet will serve as chamber music faculty at the Chamber Music of the Rockies alongside the Jupiter String Quartet coaching high school students in an intensive two-week chamber music program.

The LK String Quartet has collaborated in performance with both Paul Katz (January, 2007) and Itzhak Perlman (September, 2007) and looks forward to their upcoming collaboration with the Jupiter String Quartet in June 2008.

Last season, the LK String Quartet was invited to participate in the NY Philharmonic’s Learning Overtures symposium representing the United States in an exploration comparing music education in Finland and the USA.  As a result, the quartet participated in public rehearsals, lessons, an open forum, and a concert in Merkin Concert Hall in New York City.

The LK String Quartet has coached with chamber music giants David Soyer and Robert Mann at The Juilliard School in New York City as well as Donald Weilerstein, Paul Katz, Itzhak Perlman, and Merry Peckham.  Mr. and Ms. Lee study with Itzhak Perlman, Ms. Seay studies with Heidi Castleman and Steven Tenenbom, and Mr. Han studies with David Soyer at The Juilliard School.  The LK String Quartet is committed to excitement and excellence in chamber music performance and study combined with a dedication to attracting new audiences to the world of classical music.
